UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON
122 Helman – Exterior Renovation and Tenant Finish-Out
About the Project
The 122 Heiman project involved the complete renovation of a three‑story historic building at Sunset Station, preparing floors one and two for new tenant use by the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College. The work was executed in three phases—interior demolition, shell renovation, and tenant finish‑out—beginning with hazardous material abatement, selective demolition, and removal of obsolete utilities. The shell renovation restored the building envelope through masonry cleaning and repointing, new windows, roof repairs, life‑safety improvements, and carefully integrated storefront and railing systems. Completed with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, the final tenant spaces provide refined offices, classrooms, and administrative areas that respect the building’s historic character while supporting contemporary academic use.
